EFI Casablanca was founded by education professionals who aspired to establish a French and international school of excellence in Morocco,

Luc CHATEL – President

Co-founder of the Odyssey Education network and President of EFI Casablanca. Former French Minister of National Education, Member of Parliament, and President of the France-Morocco Friendship Group in the French National Assembly.

Younes SLAOUI – General Director

Co-founder of Odyssey Education and General Director of EFI Casablanca. Former strategy consultant and expert in educational management. He chaired the international alumni association of ENA and INSP, from which he graduated.

 EFI relies on a qualified, multicultural, and committed educational team focused on student success.

Raphaël SPIRA – Head of School

Agrégé in Physical Sciences and Computer Engineer. Taught for 15 years in Paris, then held leadership roles including Deputy Principal at André Malraux Middle School, Deputy Principal at Paul Valéry High School, and Deputy Principal for upper secondary at Henri IV High School in Paris.

Alexandra MERE ROUCO – Deputy Principal, High School

After 15 years with the Versailles Academy, where she served as a teacher before becoming Deputy Principal and Deputy Headteacher, Alexandra Mere Rouco continued her career at the French Lycée of Mexico and later at the Jacques Chirac School Group in Rabat, where she served as Deputy Head of Secondary. poursuivi sa carrière au Lycée français de Mexico puis au sein du Groupe scolaire Jacques Chirac à Rabat en tant que Proviseure adjointe en charge du secondaire.

Rébecca MERELLE – Deputy Principal, Middle School

Teacher of Modern Literature at EFI since 2018. Previously coordinator of Modern Literature, PRIO, then Deputy Director for the High School, and now Deputy Principal for the Middle School as of 2025.

Peggy AVELEZ – Primary School Director

Has led EFI’s primary section for 3 years. Former primary school teacher and director for over 20 years in France, Spain, and Chile. Also served as trainer and educational advisor.

Maud DANIEL – Deputy Director for Primary Training & Innovation

Since 2006, Maud Daniel has served as a teacher, trainer and school leader in primary schools across France, Indonesia, Malaysia and Morocco. She joined the French International School of Casablanca in September 2024 as Deputy Head in charge of Training and Innovation. Casablanca in September 2024.
