Preschool

Preschool's essential objective: helping each student between the ages of 3 and 6 to become autonomous and to acquire knowledge and competencies. Each student must acquire a rich oral language that is organized and comprehensible to others; the final aim being success in 1st grade.

The activities proposed to young students encourage and stimulate them in their development of language as well as in their intellectual capacities on a cognitive, physical, social, and emotional level:

At EFI our students learn to grow, to interact with othersà interagir avec les autresand are encouraged to express themselves through different modes of communication. As of nursery school, native language teachers, who hold diplomas from their countries of origin, guarantee quasi-daily teaching of English. EFI also offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities and workshops in English..

Thanks to an attentive and benevolent classroom environment, our students develop self-confidence and respect for others. Learning often happens though play and workshops, favoring nursery rhymes, for music aides in memorization of languages.

With this base, EFI has constructed a timetable respectful of children's biological rhythms and allowing:

50/50 Curriculum in Kindergarten

All kindergarten classes (Pre-kindergarten 3 , Pre-kindergarten 4 and kindergarten) follow a 50/50 curriculum.

Thus, the week will be organized alternately by a French-speaking or English-speaking teacher. The schedules will be designed according to the chronobiology of the child, their attention span is not the same depending on the time of day.

Ce dispositif pédagogique s’applique également au CP, CE1, CE2 et CM1. Il sera effectif en CM2 à la rentrée 2025.

The main objective of the 50/50 course is to enable future elementary students to take full disciplinary lessons in English, and to adapt better to today's globalized world.
