About the International French Baccalaureate (BFI)
EFI Casablanca gives its students the option of taking the American or Arabic BFI (French International Baccalaureate), as a continuation of the International Sections in 10th grade (seconde).
EFI Casablanca is the first French school in North Africa to officially provide an American International Section (SI) in 10th grade and a track to the American International French Baccalaureate (BFI).
Initiated in 2019 following the high school and general baccalaureate reform, the BFI replaces the Baccalaureate International Option (OIB) and includes certain courses taught in the language of the chosen BFI during the final two years of the cycle and in line with French programs.
The American BFI: Students will be able to simultaneously earn the BFI and two to three Advanced Placements, which are units of academic credit that facilitate the transition to American universities, all without increasing the weekly workload or the number of tests. This system allows our graduates to have easier access to the best North American and Anglo-Saxon universities.
The American and Arabic BFIs will also be available in trilingual and quadrilingual versions, with Arabic and English as second languages and Spanish as a third language.
