Academic curriculum

In elementary school

These are the classes where the fundamentals are acquired. The objective of these classes is to acquire a solid base in all the basic subjects.

The academic program of the primary school allows students to improve their learning skills and to grow their knowledge.

The French curriculum is organized around a common core of knowledge, competencies, and culture that is structured around five concepts:

In these areas, the mastery of the French language (language learning and mastery of written) is a priority.

An individualized learning program with a 50-50 French-English curriculum

Concurrent with adhering to a general program, the teachers at EFI follow each student, they adapt to each student's needs and allow him/her to better progress by offering content that sustains and stimulates learning. Reduced class sizes and innovative teaching methods showcase this individualized pedagogic approach. We encourage each child to be original, creative, and autonomous in his/her learning. Students regularly present their work, gain self-confidence, and organizational capacities.

To respond to the needs of students encountering difficulties in their learning or their academic progress, EFI has put two processes into place: personalized assistance, transition groups for the teaching of English and for academic support.
